Soeharto took the sigma route, enforcing Pancasila as the sole ideology, leading to a military regime where dissent was crushed like a dank meme. Now, in the reform era, the ship has sailed towards democratization, allowing free speech and direct elections, but the essence of Pancasila still lingers amidst the changes.
