Residential communities, particularly in urban areas, are challenged by rapid growth and the decline of close-knit relationships. This study explores the connection between localized social ties and residential satisfaction, emphasizing the mediating role of a sense of place. The objectives include determining the relationship between localized social ties and residential satisfaction, examining the connection between localized social ties and sense of place, and investigating how sense of place mediates the relationship between the two. Data collected from 400 residents in Shiraz, Iran, indicated that a sense of place positively influences residential satisfaction through localized social ties.
